Why take voice lessons?

People often believe that a person can sing or they cannot. It is not assumed, however, that a person can just pick up a trumpet or sit down at a keyboard and play without proper instruction. A singer must learn how to use their instrument- and use it properly- in order to create beautiful sound. Of course there are those with natural God-given talent, but even the greats like Josh Groban have had instruction. I often have people ask me if anyone can learn to sing. My answer is this: If someone loves music and they have a desire to sing, then yes, they can learn to sing. Not everyone is destined, or able, to be truly great, but everyone can become a better singer- even those considered "tone deaf".

Finally

I have had several people ask if I have a blog or website they can go to for my voice lesson info. Well, after much deliberation, I have finally gotten my, uh, behind in gear and done so. So, here it is! Everyone impressed?
